UNIQ member Sungjoo is casted in tvN’s new upcoming drama “The Liar and His Lover” as a member of "Crude Play".
tvN’s new upcoming drama “The Liar and His Lover” Director Kim Jin-min / Screenplay Kim Kyung-min / Production Bon Factory) talks about the pure love between Kang Han Gyul (Lee Hyunwoo), a genius songwriter who keeps his identity hidden, and Yoon So Lim (Joy), a high schooler with a candid personality and a sweet voice who falls in love with Kang Han Gyul at first sight. It is scheduled to be broadcast in March following by “Introverted Boss”.
Sungjoo’s is casted as Yoon Sihyeon, a leader and main vocal of the band named “Crude Play”, he’s a close neighbourhood cousin sibling of Han Gyul since birth and has a proud character.
Sungjoo who is casted as a leader in the band “Crude Play” has been picked out by the Midas’ Hand (Lee Jung Jin) of the music industry. The band has been exploring various musical genres for five years since they made their debut and made their debut at the age of 19.
Sungjoo who has been showing his performance skills in UNIQ’s group activities, was recognized for his vocal, visual and performance skills during the audition.
Sungjoo said “Although I am excited and nervous as this is my first debut acting in Korea, I will try my best as I am an actor for the first time. I’m happy to meet such a charming character. It’s really enjoyable these days to analyse and memorize the scripts every day. The most enjoyable thing these days is for me to immerse as Sihyeon. During this happy moment, I will take a step closer as an actor into acting without regrets,” he said.
