TUTORIAL: How to support UNIQ's comeback for "EOEO"

HELL YEAH FOR UNIQ'S COMEBACK! Now there are some simple ways in which we can give back to UNIQ for their hard work, and contribute towards their greater success. Please note that these tutorials are combined from various sources from other fandoms for reference, none of them are mine unless stated otherwise. Some of them might be overlapping, so please read carefully before you continue on.

 PHYSICAL SALES

There are two major charts that monitor physical album sales in Korea: Hanteo and Gaon.

Hanteo chart counts daily, weekly, and monthly sales. Hanteo chart is used to count towards music show charts. A lot of stores send their sale counts to Hanteo to record, but not all do.

Gaon chart counts weekly, monthly and yearly physical and digital sales. Along with Hanteo, the Gaon chart is crucial for end-year award shows. Gaon chart helps to increase SNS points too, tutorials will be added sooner or later.

Sales from the following online stores count towards Hanteo and Gaon:
Those with a Korean Citizen Registration Number (주민등록번호) or a Foreign Resident Registration Number (외국인등록번호) may also use HotTracks.

DIGITAL SALES / DOWNLOADS + STREAMING

Digital Sales / Downloads:
There are a total of 9 downloads/streams from the following sites that contribute toward digital sales, listed below are the tutorials for each site which you can refer to sign up and stream each of UNIQ's songs.
[★] You can still support UNIQ by buying their songs on iTunes, but please note that iTunes does NOT count towards Korean charts whatsoever.

MelOn is Korea’s largest digital music store. It dominates over 50% of the digital market. MelOn’s chart is heavily dependent on streaming. Unless you pay, you will only be able to stream 1 minute previews.

Online Streaming:
  1. Search for the songs on the site players, and play in full.
  2. Do not touch the player bar. Do not mute or replay. Do not shuffle or fast-forward.
  3. For the downloads / streams to be reflected accurately on the charts, log out before midnight (00:00 KST), and if using an app, close it before that time.

SNS Points:

1. Twitter
  • Tag @SBS_MTV and include the official hashtags given which is #더쇼 and #유니크 to your tweets during the given period of time. You can include both hashtags anyhow you like in your tweet. This ONLY applies to THE SHOW! as there is no specific instructions on how to tweet the hashtags properly.
e.g: @SBS_MTV #더쇼 #유니크 What a great comeback song, I'm loving it!
       @SBS_MTV These guys are amazing, I'm really impressed! #더쇼 #유니크
       @SBS_MTV I love #유니크 please vote for them at #더쇼 ~~~~ 
  • Your tweets will only count if your account is set to public while tweeting. If that is a problem, please create a separate Twitter account.
  • Hashtags #더쇼 and #유니크 on Twitter, retweet the tweets because 10 retweets = 1 point. If there's more than 10 retweets in a tweet, it is still counted as 1 SNS point.
  • You need to include BOTH hashtags in your tweet for it to count. 
  • NO emojis / symbols / weird character to be included in the tweet.
  • DO NOT quote any tweets or include any pictures / links in the tweet.
  • DO NOT include more than 2 hashtags other than the official ones given by @SBS_MTV as it may considered as spam.

  • Stream UNIQ’s videos through their official YouTube channel: UNIQ 유니크 especially the latest dance video
  • Stream their performance recording through the official broadcast channel station.
  • Please play the videos in full. 
  • Do not mute the video while playing (You can simply lower the volume, but not entirely, and plug in your earphones. That way you don’t need to listen, if you don’t wish to)
  • We recommend using private browsing. That way, after you watch the video once, you can simply close the private window, open a new one, and restart the process. It’s easier that closing and relaunching the browser completely.
2. Twitter (subject to change)
Please note that there is no SNS votes on M! Countdown and you need to vote for them on their official website instead.

3. Facebook:
  • Follow the official UNIQ Facebook page
  • Like their page
  • Like, comment on, and share their posts

Apparently as fucked up as it may sound, Inkigayo has revealed a new set of rules which would affect the total point for the group to win on their music show by not counting hashtags as SNS points anymore.

But instead, this 35% point is counted just from official MV which uploaded by the original company / official Youtube channel which is UNIQ 유니크. NOT from 1theK or any other Youtube channel. The SNS points on Twitter doesn't really count anymore. Please scroll up a section above to see how it works via Youtube. 

The other rule is, Inkigayo won’t count the views from 19+ MV. The reason why Inkigayo excluded the 19+ MV is because Inkigayo is 15+ rated program, which they think it’s unsuitable for them to count any MV with 19+ rate. So thank God that "EOEO" is 15+ haha.

Advance Viewer Vote Points / SOTY Voting:

 The voting takes place every week, from Sunday (just after the SBS Inkigayo broadcast) to Saturday.
